Aya Healthcare is hiring a Travel Cath Lab Tech for an onsite position in Galena Park, Harris County (Houston area). This is a full-time, temporary contract role running for 13 weeks, starting July 27, 2026, with competitive compensation of $2,313–$2,506 per week.
About the Role
Join our team as a Cath Lab Tech and contribute directly to patient outcomes in a high-performing cardiac catheterization facility. You'll work alongside experienced physicians and nursing staff to support complex cardiac procedures, combining technical precision with patient-centered care in a dynamic clinical environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and sterilize catheterization equipment and instruments before each procedure
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs throughout procedures, communicating changes to clinical staff
- Maintain sterile field integrity and follow strict infection control protocols
- Position patients appropriately and adjust equipment for optimal visualization
- Operate and troubleshoot cath lab imaging equipment and related technology
- Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records
- Support post-procedure patient care and equipment cleanup
Shift & Schedule
Rotating shifts, 4 days per week × 10 hours per day. This onsite position is not remote—you'll be working in the hospital facility.
What We're Looking For
- Current Cath Lab Technician certification or equivalent credential
- Minimum one year of hands-on cath lab experience
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and equipment operation
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical settings
- Excellent communication skills with physicians, nurses, and support staff
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and procedure complexity
