The Opportunity
Aya Healthcare is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) technologist to support our partner facility in Savannah, Chatham County. This travel assignment begins August 10, 2026, and provides an ideal opportunity to expand your clinical expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment. Core Duties
- Assist board-certified radiologists and interventional specialists with fluoroscopy-guided and ultrasound-guided procedures
- Prepare patients for interventional procedures, including positioning, draping, and safety briefing
- Monitor patient vitals and comfort throughout procedures, reporting changes to the clinical team
- Operate and maintain interventional radiology equipment, including fluoroscopy systems and imaging technology
- Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Document procedure details, patient responses, and equipment function per facility standards
- Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Manage supplies and instrument trays, ensuring readiness for scheduled and emergency procedures
Who We're Looking For
- Current license as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) with Georgia or Florida licensure
- Proven experience in interventional radiology or fluoroscopy-based procedure support
- Strong knowledge of IR protocols, equipment operation, and patient safety principles
- Ability to work a rotating four-day schedule, including potential weekends
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability—travel assignments require quick acclimation to new facilities
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
