About the Role

As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will join a supportive healthcare team delivering diagnostic imaging services to patients in the Pell City community. This position combines clinical expertise with the flexibility of a short‑term contract, allowing you to expand your professional experience while receiving competitive weekly compensation.

What You'll Do

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high‑quality images according to physician protocols
• Prepare and position patients safely, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
• Monitor patient comfort and vital signs throughout the scan, responding to any adverse reactions
• Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain calibration logs
• Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to ensure accurate image interpretation
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times
• Document examinations accurately in the electronic health record system
• Participate in shift handovers and contribute to a positive, team‑focused environment

What We're Looking For

• Active ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• State licensure or eligibility to practice as an MRI Technologist in Alabama
• Minimum of one year of recent experience performing MRI scans in a hospital or outpatient setting
• Proficiency with various MRI platforms and ability to adapt to new equipment quickly
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑centered approach to care
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the 5‑day, 8‑hour schedule
