About the Role
Aya Healthcare is seeking a skilled Echo Tech to deliver high-quality cardiac sonography services to pediatric patients across our Syracuse, Onondaga County facility. This 13-week contract position begins July 27, 2026, with rotating shifts of five 8-hour days per week. You'll operate advanced ultrasound equipment, perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies, and contribute to accurate cardiac diagnoses in a dynamic healthcare environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform pediatric echocardiograms using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology
- Prepare patients and position them appropriately for optimal image acquisition
- Operate scanning equipment to capture high-resolution cardiac imaging
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and sonography reports
- Communicate findings clearly with physicians and the clinical team
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Adapt to a rotating schedule and contribute to seamless facility operations
What We're Looking For
- Current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification or RCS equivalency
- Active, unrestricted New York state license or valid licensure pathway
- Proven expertise in pediatric cardiac ultrasound and imaging protocols
- Strong clinical communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Professional demeanor and flexibility as a travel healthcare professional
