About the Role
Aya Healthcare seeks an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician for an immediate opening in Cincinnati, Hamilton County. As a CVOR Tech, you'll play a critical role in the operating room, supporting surgical teams during complex cardiovascular procedures. This travel assignment places you in a fast-paced surgical environment where precision, quick thinking, and collaborative teamwork are essential to patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, organize, and maintain sterile surgical instruments and specialized cardiovascular equipment before, during, and after procedures
- Monitor surgical instruments, implants, and equipment throughout operations to ensure availability and proper function
- Maintain strict sterile field protocols and assist the surgical team in adhering to infection control standards
- Anticipate surgeon needs and hand instruments and supplies efficiently during high-pressure procedures
- Document equipment usage, instrument counts, and procedural details according to facility protocols
- Perform equipment cleaning, sterilization, and troubleshooting to support operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care
What We're Looking For
- Current RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist) certification or equivalent credential
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent cardiovascular operating room experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments, procedures, and implantable devices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to sterile technique
- Reliable, adaptable professional who thrives in travel assignments
- Current CPR certification (BLS) and any additional required state credentials
