About the Role
As a Classroom Staff Assistant, you'll work alongside classroom teachers to provide targeted academic support to elementary students. Working 5.9 hours per day on a school-day calendar (29.5 hours per week), you'll focus on reinforcing core concepts and helping students who benefit from additional practice and individualized attention.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in core academic subjects, focusing on skill reinforcement and concept mastery
- Lead small-group tutoring sessions designed to give students extra practice and confidence in challenging areas
- Work closely with teachers to understand student learning goals and support classroom instruction
- Help students build foundational skills and academic confidence
- Track student progress and communicate with teachers about tutoring activities
