About the Role

As a CDL A Regional Truck Driver with Updike Distribution Logistics, you'll run a defined freight lane covering Arizona, Southern California, Northern California, Nevada, and Utah. This is a regional position — meaning you get the miles of an OTR driver while staying closer to home than a long-haul schedule allows. Freight is steady, routes are predictable, and the operation is structured to keep you productive and paid.

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and efficiently across a five-state regional territory
• Pick up and deliver freight on assigned regional lanes in the Southwest US
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service rules
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and any road conditions
• Secure cargo properly and verify load documentation against shipping paperwork

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate within the regional territory: Arizona, Southern California, Northern California, Nevada, and Utah
• Working knowledge of ELD systems and DOT compliance requirements
• Reliable, professional attitude and strong communication skills
• Ability to work a full-time schedule as a CDL A regional driver

Compensation

• Starting pay of 54 cents per mile (CPM)
• Performance bonus of up to 5.5 CPM, bringing total potential pay to 59.5 CPM
• Layover pay of $75 per 24-hour period when an overnight delay is required
