Travel Nurse – PACU – Post Anesthetic Care Job

Vetted Health is hiring a registered nurse for a full-time travel assignment with our Post-Anesthetic Care Unit in Inglewood, California. This 8-week contract offers $12,778 monthly compensation and is available to begin immediately.

Position Summary

This travel nurse position in PACU provides an excellent opportunity to deliver specialized post-operative care in a high-acuity setting while gaining valuable experience across different healthcare environments. Based in Inglewood, California, this full-time travel nursing role supports patient recovery from anesthesia with clinical expertise and compassionate monitoring throughout the immediate post-operative period.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and assess patient vital signs, consciousness level, and physical responses during the post-anesthetic recovery phase
• Promptly report and document all changes in patient status to the surgical and anesthesia care teams
• Administer medications and pain management interventions as ordered to support patient comfort during recovery
• Evaluate surgical wound sites for complications and maintain awareness of tissue integrity throughout recovery
• Provide discharge education and clear instructions as patients transition from the recovery unit to their next level of care
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records according to facility standards and healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Active California RN license (or ability to obtain licensure in California)
• Minimum 2 years of direct nursing experience; PACU, ICU, or similar acute-care background preferred
• Proven ability to assess and monitor patients in recovery and acute care settings
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within fast-paced clinical teams
• Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS certification recommended)
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts on a full-time basis
