Key Responsibilities Continuously monitor and assess patient vital signs, consciousness level, and physical responses during the post-anesthetic recovery phase Promptly report and document all changes in patient status to the surgical and anesthesia care teams Administer medications and pain management interventions as ordered to support patient comfort during recovery Evaluate surgical wound sites for complications and maintain awareness of tissue integrity throughout recovery Provide discharge education and clear instructions as patients transition from the recovery unit to their next level of care Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care Maintain accurate and complete medical records according to facility standards and healthcare regulations Requirements Active California RN license (or ability to obtain licensure in California) Minimum 2 years of direct nursing experience; PACU, ICU, or similar acute-care background preferred Proven ability to assess and monitor patients in recovery and acute care settings Excellent communication and collaboration skills within fast-paced clinical teams Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS certification recommended) Availability to work 12-hour shifts on a full-time basis About the Company Vetted Health partners with qualified nursing professionals to place them in meaningful travel assignments at leading healthcare facilities nationwide.
