Travel Nurse – OR – Operating Room Job

Vetted Health is hiring a full-time Travel Nurse for the Operating Room in Greenville, North Carolina (Pitt County). This 13-week contract position offers competitive compensation of $10,778 per month and is available immediately for qualified registered nurses.

About the Role

Join our surgical team as an Operating Room Nurse and deliver excellent patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment. You'll work 10-hour shifts within a 40-hour weekly schedule, providing critical nursing support before, during, and after surgical procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive post-operative education and reinforce discharge care instructions to patients and families
• Monitor patient vital signs and recovery status throughout the perioperative period
• Assist with instrument preparation, sterilization, and surgical equipment management
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure smooth procedures
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to facility protocols
• Respond promptly to patient needs and maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience in an operating room or surgical setting
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently within a team structure
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Flexibility to adapt to varying surgical schedules and patient acuity levels
