Alliances Team Lead

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI consultancy seeking an Alliances Team Lead to build and scale strategic technology partnerships. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will create partnership programs from the ground up and drive measurable pipeline through ecosystem relationships.

You will own two primary partnerships:

• AI platform partnership: Run partner activation programs end-to-end—identify target accounts, align scope with partner teams, coordinate delivery, ensure funding milestones are met, and maintain standing in partner networks. Build executive relationships with field leadership, partner success, and product teams who advocate for our client in joint accounts.
• Cloud hyperscaler partnership: Manage the alliance day-to-day, keeping competency requirements and premier tier standing current. Build co-sell motion with field teams through opportunity registration, joint account planning, and pipeline reviews. Maximize funding program benefits.
• Lead and develop a team of partner managers—set priorities, coach on engagement, and establish the operating cadence for the alliances function.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and delivery to turn partner programs into revenue through co-marketing campaigns and joint solution offerings.
• Represent our client at executive briefings and ecosystem events; bring partner intelligence back to leadership.
• Identify and develop early-stage partnerships with additional cloud and AI ecosystem players as the market evolves.

What We're Looking For

• 5–8+ years in technology alliances, partnerships, or channel roles with hands-on experience managing hyperscaler relationships (cloud or AI platform partners strongly preferred).
• Direct experience with partner programs: competencies, funding mechanisms, co-sell processes, and partner portals—not just supervisory oversight.
• Proven track record building alliance programs from scratch, not just inheriting existing structures.
• Experience leading and developing a team; comfortable setting direction and coaching in a lean environment.
• Ability to operate at executive level with partners and customers while managing program mechanics hands-on when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication—you can translate partner programs into clear internal playbooks and joint value propositions.
• Familiarity with the AI/ML ecosystem sufficient to have credible conversations about enterprise adoption challenges and implementation approaches.
• Vertical depth in Financial Services or Life Sciences preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, executive briefings, workshops, and conferences.

Pay

Our client offers an OTE around $250,000. This role includes performance-based bonuses, unlimited vacation, health/vision/dental insurance, and 401(K) matching. Contract or full-time models are available.
