AI Compute Engineer, Fleet Health & Delivery

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization based in Paris. Our client is at the forefront of developing advanced AI infrastructure and sovereign AI solutions for enterprise customers across finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector. We are seeking an AI Compute Engineer to join their Fleet Health & Delivery team, supporting the critical infrastructure that powers large-scale AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate large-scale Linux environments, cloud systems, and AI workloads that power production AI infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to maintain high availability, performance, and security across models, products, and compute platforms
• Collaborate with research, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure systems align with AI initiatives and customer requirements
• Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders, diagnosing issues and guiding solutions to ensure smooth operations
• Explore and implement modern cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes and GPU orchestration, as part of platform evolution
• Contribute to the reliability and scalability of distributed AI compute infrastructure

What We're Looking For

• Strong Linux system administration experience managing infrastructure at scale
• Proficiency with Slurm and/or Kubernetes for workload management
• Familiarity with distributed storage, high-performance networking, cloud security, or GPU/AI/ML workloads is a plus
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to diagnose, explain, and resolve technical issues for end users
• Pragmatic, collaborative, and hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Enthusiasm for working at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and customer success
• Comfort operating in fast-evolving technical environments and driving modernization efforts
