About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Michels Power, Inc., you're a critical member of our financial operations team. You'll own the complete lifecycle of customer accounts—from invoice processing through successful collection—while maintaining detailed, accurate records that support our billing and accounting departments. Your work directly impacts our cash flow and client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Process, verify, and reconcile customer invoices and payment records with precision
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up with clients on overdue balances through phone, email, and correspondence
• Apply customer payments to accounts correctly and resolve discrepancies or billing disputes
• Prepare and distribute account statements, aging reports, and collection notices
• Maintain organized, accurate account documentation and records in our accounting systems
• Coordinate with sales, project management, and accounting teams to resolve account issues
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or similar financial operations role
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Excel; ERP systems a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Professional communication skills—comfort speaking with clients about payments
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
