As a Direct Care Worker (DCW) with Merry Care, you will be the steady, caring presence clients rely on each day in the Spring Arbor and greater Jackson County area. This is a hands-on, in-person position centered on personal care, companionship, and light home support that helps clients maintain their dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, shaving, dressing, and general hygiene assistance
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to errands like grocery shopping and medical appointments
• Help with light household tasks including washing dishes, doing laundry, and vacuuming
• Support clients with daily routines and tasks they are unable to manage on their own
• Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment in each client's home

Qualifications

• A genuine desire to care for and assist others with daily living needs
• Reliability, patience, and strong interpersonal communication
• Willingness to complete Merry Care's required pre-employment screening before being scheduled for shifts
