About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Latin America, supporting a fast-growing company with US operations and public company reporting requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated financial systems, contribute to month-end close processes under US GAAP, and ensure compliance with rigorous internal controls in a dynamic environment with strong career advancement potential.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and variance analysis in compliance with US GAAP standards
• Support quarterly and annual financial reviews and audit processes
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and execute internal control testing in compliance with SOX 404 requirements
• Prepare supporting schedules and organized documentation for external audits
• Drive month-end close schedules and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, research, and communication in accounting workflows

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
• 2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on exposure to US GAAP (required)
• Solid foundation in US GAAP principles and basic exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls framework
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Professional English fluency, both written and spoken
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools; must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity
• Ability to work aligned with US Central time zones

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• High standards for accuracy and attention to detail
