Accountant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a talented Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a fully remote position based in LATAM, supporting a US-headquartered, publicly traded company. You'll play a critical role in month-end close processes, US GAAP compliance, and SOX internal controls in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and variance analysis in compliance with US GAAP standards
• Support quarterly and annual financial reviews and audits
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and execute internal control testing in compliance with SOX 404 requirements
• Prepare and maintain organized documentation and supporting schedules for financial reviews and audits
• Drive month-end close schedules and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Leverage AI tools including Claude or equivalent large language models to enhance productivity, research, and communication

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid foundation in US GAAP (required)
• Basic exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls framework
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Professional English fluency, both written and spoken
• Ability to work aligned with US Central time zones
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools

Pay
