Ambulatory Tech-CT

Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester is seeking an Ambulatory Tech-CT to join our diagnostic imaging department on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll operate specialized CT equipment in our ambulatory care setting, directly supporting patient diagnosis and contributing to quality healthcare outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging equipment according to established protocols and radiologist directives
• Prepare patients for computed tomography procedures, explaining the imaging process and addressing their questions
• Position patients and anatomical structures to capture diagnostic-quality images
• Monitor patient vital signs and safety during CT scanning procedures
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain detailed imaging records
• Follow strict radiation protection protocols and safety standards to protect patients and staff
• Perform routine quality assurance and maintenance checks on CT equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist with CT specialization (ARRT-CT) or eligibility to obtain certification
• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma
• Working knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety principles
• Demonstrated ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment accurately and safely
• Physical capability to position patients and equipment as required for imaging procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
• Commitment to maintaining professional standards and a safe healthcare environment
