About the Role

As a Procurement Planner specialising in mechanical engineering, you will be at the heart of our supply chain operations. This role combines strategic procurement planning with hands-on execution, managing the complete lifecycle of mechanical component sourcing and supplier relationships. Your work will directly impact production efficiency, cost management, and quality standards across our Ahmedabad operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement plans for mechanical components, balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines
• Analyse supplier performance and collaborate with engineering teams to optimise specifications and material choices
• Monitor inventory levels and demand forecasting to ensure seamless production operations
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with mechanical component suppliers to achieve cost targets
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity
• Prepare reports and analytics on procurement metrics and supplier KPIs for senior management
• Coordinate with quality, production, and logistics teams to resolve procurement-related issues

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of procurement planning experience, ideally in mechanical engineering or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components, materials, and supplier ecosystem
• Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP software, and data analysis tools
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
• Fluent in English; regional language knowledge is advantageous
• Proactive, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
