About the Role

This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape the future of ignition systems through innovative engineering design. As a Spark Plug Design Engineer based in our Nanjing facility, you'll focus on the technical design and advancement of spark plug assemblies that power vehicles across the globe. This role bridges research, development, and manufacturing to deliver solutions that enhance engine performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop spark plug systems using advanced CAD and simulation tools
• Conduct technical analysis and testing to validate component performance and durability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design improvements into production processes
• Optimize spark plug materials and geometries for enhanced combustion efficiency
• Document design specifications and create detailed engineering drawings
• Support manufacturing teams with design-for-manufacturability guidance
• Investigate customer feedback and warranty data to identify continuous improvement opportunities

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, or related field
• Proven experience in automotive component design and development
• Proficiency with CAD software and finite element analysis (FEA) tools
• Strong knowledge of spark plug technology, ignition systems, or related combustion engine components
• Solid understanding of materials science and thermal management principles
• Experience with product design cycles from concept through manufacturing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to engineering detail
• Fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese is a plus
