About the Role
We are seeking a Project Development Manager to strengthen our growing Cape Town team. In this full-time position, you will champion the development of renewable energy initiatives from early feasibility through to advanced project phases, ensuring technical excellence, commercial viability, and comprehensive regulatory compliance at every milestone.
Core Duties
- Progress renewable energy projects through development phases, from concept assessment to pre-financial close
- Coordinate technical, financial, and regulatory workstreams with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Develop project business cases and commercial strategies aligned with market opportunities
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including community engagement and environmental assessment processes
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators to ensure delivery targets are achieved
What We're Looking For
- Engineering qualification or relevant tertiary qualification in a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience managing energy or infrastructure projects through multiple development phases
- Strong understanding of renewable energy sector dynamics, trends, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Analytical approach to evaluating complex technical and commercial project parameters
