What This Role Involves
As a Special Education Teacher at this high school location, you'll deliver tailored instruction to students with individualized education plans (IEPs). Core Duties
- Teach core academics and functional skills aligned to students' IEPs and grade-level standards
- Conduct ongoing assessment and monitor student progress toward individualized learning objectives
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and the IEP team about student performance and needs
- Maintain detailed records, documentation, and compliance with special education regulations
- Collaborate with special education paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to instructional planning and problem-solving
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Special Education
- Active Special Education Teacher license (required for employment)
- Minimum 1 year of documented Special Education teaching experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Commitment to inclusive practices and student advocacy
