Platform Engineer – Client Solutions

In this full-time role, you'll bridge our engineering consulting practice with customer success, splitting your time between hands-on infrastructure work and technical go-to-market activities for financial services clients.

Role Overview

This position uniquely balances two complementary tracks. Fifty percent of your effort goes toward billable client engagements where you'll architect and build modern cloud platforms. The other fifty percent supports our sales process—conducting technical discovery sessions, designing solutions, developing project scopes, and presenting infrastructure strategies to engineering leaders and executive stakeholders. You'll remain technically sharp while becoming the trusted advisor who translates customer challenges into executable platform strategies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Client Delivery

• Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure and platform solutions for financial services organizations
• Write Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tooling
• Design and establish Kubernetes orchestration platforms
• Author and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
• Enhance developer productivity through modern platform engineering methodologies
• Collaborate with client engineering teams throughout project delivery

Go-to-Market & Solutions

• Participate in technical discovery and requirements gathering with prospective customers
• Lead architecture workshops and design sessions
• Convert business requirements into technical implementation approaches
• Author scope documents and resource estimates
• Present platform solutions to technical and executive audiences
• Own the technical narrative throughout the sales engagement

What We're Looking For

• Eight to ten-plus years of hands-on experience building cloud infrastructure and platform engineering systems
• Demonstrated expertise with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
• Deep working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Production experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code frameworks
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline architecture and implementation
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration platforms
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and logging solutions
• Prior experience in consulting or customer-facing technical roles
• Ability to articulate complex infrastructure concepts to engineers and non-technical executives
• Strong communication and collaborative relationship-building abilities
