Bid Manager/Proposal Manager

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Bid Manager and Proposal Manager for a full-time position based in India. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage the complete proposal lifecycle for one of the world's most respected engineering consultancies in the infrastructure, transportation, and construction sectors.

About This Position

As Bid Manager/Proposal Manager at AtkinsRéalis, you will take ownership of all proposal development activities, from initial client engagement through final submission. Working with cross-functional teams across the organisation, you will coordinate with technical specialists, financial experts, and project leaders to deliver compelling, winning proposals. Your strategic oversight will ensure each proposal reflects AtkinsRéalis's capabilities, quality standards, and competitive positioning in a highly dynamic market.

Core Duties

• Manage end-to-end proposal development processes, including planning, coordination, and execution
• Lead bid strategy sessions and develop differentiation approaches for key opportunities
• Coordinate input from subject matter experts, ensuring technical accuracy and completeness
• Oversee proposal quality assurance, compliance reviews, and adherence to client requirements
• Maintain proposal schedules and manage all dependencies across teams
• Develop proposal documentation, executive summaries, and presentation materials
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the bid process

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience managing proposals or bid processes in engineering, infrastructure, or construction sectors
• Strong project management and organisational capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented approach with strong quality assurance mindset
• Familiarity with proposal software tools and document management systems
• Understanding of infrastructure, transportation, or construction industry practices
