Your Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing and support staff within the NICU and Paediatric unit
• Establish and enforce clinical protocols, quality standards, and best-practice guidelines
• Develop and manage unit staffing schedules to ensure optimal patient-to-staff ratios
• Monitor patient safety metrics, review incidents, and drive corrective actions
• Facilitate ongoing professional development, training, and performance management for team members
• Oversee operational budgets, procurement, and resource planning
• Collaborate with medical teams, allied health professionals, and other departments to coordinate seamless patient care
• Implement quality assurance activities and respond to audit recommendations

Requirements

• Valid SANC (South African Nursing Council) registration
• Completed nursing degree or diploma qualification
• Recognised qualification in NICU and/or ICU nursing
• 3 to 5 years' proven experience in a nursing management or supervisory role
• Strong demonstrated leadership and people management skills
• Competency in using computers and healthcare management systems
• Valid South African driver's licence
• Ability and willingness to travel as required
