MDS Graduate x2 Durban

Momentum Distribution Services is seeking two graduate professionals for a full-time, 12-month development programme based in Durban, eThekwini. This is your opportunity to launch a career in financial services distribution whilst building valuable experience working alongside established Independent Financial Advisers.

What This Role Involves

This graduate programme places you at the heart of our distribution operations in Durban, where you'll gain hands-on exposure to how financial advisory partnerships drive business success. Over the 12-month period, you'll learn the complete business cycle — from supporting adviser relationships to understanding the operational systems that enable our teams. You'll work closely with Independent Financial Advisers and contribute to initiatives that build our client base and strengthen our market position in eThekwini.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Independent Financial Advisers in their day-to-day activities and serve as a resource for adviser-led sales initiatives
• Learn and assist with administrative and operational processes within the distribution function
• Contribute to relationship-building efforts with financial advisers and their clients
• Participate in sales enablement activities that help advisers grow their practices
• Observe, learn, and gradually take on responsibilities in portfolio management and client service
• Support the development and implementation of sales strategies under guidance

What You Bring

• Recent graduate or degree holder (any discipline welcome, though business, finance, or commerce backgrounds are valued)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in a professional advisory environment
• Enthusiasm for learning the financial services and distribution sector
• Organised approach to work and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Willingness to support a team-focused culture and build genuine partnerships
