Lead – Designer

Position Summary

As a full-time Lead Designer at Zeta, you will lead our design strategy and vision for cloud-native banking platforms built for scalability and innovation. You'll work at the intersection of fintech and design, translating complex banking requirements into intuitive, customer-centric experiences. This role reports directly to senior leadership and influences product direction across our core and processing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Establish and communicate design vision and strategy aligned with Zeta's product roadmap and business goals
• Lead a team of designers, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and excellence in design practice
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate solutions
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of design systems and component libraries for consistency across platforms
• Partner with product, engineering, and compliance teams to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles across all customer-facing interfaces
• Advocate for design best practices and drive continuous improvement in our design processes

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior design role
• Proven expertise in designing complex, data-driven applications or fintech platforms
• Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, visual design, and interaction design capabilities
• Leadership experience managing design teams and mentoring junior designers
• Deep understanding of user-centred design methodologies, user research, and usability testing
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders
• Experience with design systems and component-based design approaches
