About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for an Implementation Manager to support their DACH market operations from Munich. This newly formed role sits at the crucial intersection of sales and delivery, where you'll own the post-sales integration journey for the company's largest and most complex merchant accounts.

As Implementation Manager, you'll guide clients from contract signature through technical integration, testing, and ultimately to go-live. You'll coordinate kickoffs with both internal teams and external stakeholders, establish realistic launch timelines, and keep all parties aligned as implementations progress. This isn't a cookie-cutter role following rigid processes—you'll have genuine influence in shaping how this function evolves, bringing your own experience and judgment to build scalable delivery frameworks.

The role carries more technical depth than typical project coordination positions. You'll encounter real-world edge cases and integration challenges that surface when solutions meet implementation reality, giving you hands-on exposure to technical concepts without requiring a payments engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete post-sales integration phase for the organization's largest merchant accounts, from handover through testing to production launch
• Conduct implementation kickoffs with cross-functional stakeholders, establishing go-live dates and maintaining momentum throughout delivery
• Organize and track testing phases, surfacing issues and coordinating feedback between technical teams and merchants
• Coordinate across sales, product, and engineering colleagues while maintaining direct merchant relationships to ensure alignment
• Protect revenue by keeping agreed launch dates on track, as delays directly impact business outcomes
• Develop and maintain documentation and playbooks that make delivery predictable and support organizational scaling
• Shape the evolution of this newly formed function, influencing processes and best practices as the role matures

What We're Looking For

• Up to 3 years of experience in ecommerce or payments environments, in comparable implementation or delivery roles
• Native or fluent German and English proficiency—you'll work directly with German-market merchants and collaborate with international teams
• Strong organizational and structuring capabilities, with solid project management skills to juggle multiple complex implementations simultaneously
• Genuine technical curiosity and the ability to grasp technical concepts such as APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns as they surface in real implementations
• Ownership mindset that drives you to take charge of the implementation process proactively, while remaining flexible within established roles and processes
• Honest, transparent communication style with a trustworthy manner, including demonstrated ability to collaborate with pre-sales teams and navigate handover transitions constructively
• Previous payments or ecommerce ecosystem familiarity is valued but not required—we're prioritizing transferable skills and learning agility
