Senior Category Manager – Marketing (All Genders)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential e-commerce organization based in Berlin, is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead marketing procurement initiatives across multiple regions. In this role, you will own end-to-end sourcing activities for marketing categories including offline media, online media, influencer marketing, sponsorships, and retail media.

You will develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives, creating sourcing roadmaps with global and regional stakeholders to deliver cost savings and procurement value. Your responsibilities include supplier market mapping, RFx execution, negotiation, and contract award for high-value projects. You will optimize the supplier portfolio across multiple markets and lead the implementation of best-in-class procurement processes and tools.

This position requires cultivating strong relationships with senior business partners in marketing departments to support company growth objectives. You will be part of a marketing procurement team reporting to leadership based in Berlin.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in marketing procurement or in marketing with a commercial focus
• Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, and supplier management
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Proven track record of taking ownership: identifying problems early and driving resolution without waiting for direction
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations for senior audiences
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust and credibility with business partners at all levels
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
• Fluent business English required
