Staff Product Designer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is revolutionizing tax compliance for digital-first companies. Our client is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join their design organization in London and help shape the future of their AI-native tax platform.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role where you'll design new AI-powered products and experiences, simplify complex tax workflows, and contribute to building a design system from the ground up. You'll work alongside product managers, engineers, and domain experts to create intuitive solutions for sophisticated enterprise workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design new AI-powered products and experiences that become core components of the platform
• Lead the design process end-to-end, from problem framing and research through interaction design, prototyping, and launch
• Transform complex tax, regulatory, and AI workflows into intuitive, trustworthy user experiences
• Create scalable design foundations and contribute to the development of a new design system
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, AI, and Research teams to shape product direction
• Champion exceptional craft and attention to detail across all deliverables
• Establish patterns and systems that enable future product development

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional product craft with deep attention to interaction design, visual quality, and the details that create effortless experiences
• Strong systems thinking ability to design both individual features and the larger product architecture
• Demonstrated experience building or significantly evolving design systems that scale across products and teams
• Background designing sophisticated B2B, enterprise, fintech, developer, or infrastructure products where simplifying complexity was essential
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for designing AI-native experiences that solve genuine customer problems
• A portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end ownership, clear thinking, and measurable impact
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional teams
• Ability to challenge ideas thoughtfully while maintaining strong working relationships
