Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data infrastructure company in their search for a Senior Sales Engineer to support Enterprise sales across Germany. In this role, you will partner closely with sales representatives to understand complex business requirements and demonstrate how automated data solutions can drive meaningful outcomes for large organizations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with Enterprise customers to map their business use cases and data infrastructure requirements
• Developing and delivering technical presentations tailored to Enterprise audiences
• Leading organized proof-of-value processes to secure technical wins
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and organizational change
• Supporting multiple sales representatives while maintaining exceptional customer focus and technical standards
• Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data infrastructure
• Mentoring team members through advanced technical or business challenges

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a candidate with native or professional proficiency in German, combined with deep technical expertise and enterprise sales experience. The ideal candidate brings:

• 5+ years of experience in data infrastructure, sales engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong technical foundation in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data movement technologies with hands-on experience
• Familiarity with modern data analytics tools including cloud data warehouses, transformation frameworks, data catalogs, and BI platforms
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and business stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with data replication or ETL tools
• Background with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure
• Practical networking experience in both cloud and on-premise environments

Technologies you'll work with include AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, New Relic, Linux, Windows, Python, and Java.

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience building partner relationships
• Specialized security expertise
• Familiarity with both self-hosted and SaaS deployment models
• Hands-on experience with transformation tooling
• Container and orchestration experience (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
