Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join their team on a remote basis. In this role, you will:
- Troubleshoot production issues and identify systemic failures indicated by incidents
- Implement fixes and propose solutions for reducing operational toil
- Provide leadership in incident resolution processes, including creating and maintaining documentation and contributing to post-mortem analysis
- Improve service requests and change management processes through both technical solutions and stakeholder management
- Participate in and proactively mitigate risks within security management processes, including vulnerabilities in code, infrastructure, and dependencies
- Lead client-facing discussions around SRE processes and identify opportunities to expand the SRE footprint
- Engage with suppliers and third parties for support, requests, and opportunities
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- 3-9 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
- SRE Foundation certificate (DevOps Institute) and a cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) associate-level certification, or ability to complete during probationary period
- Commercial experience and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform preferred, or ARM/bicep and CloudFormation)
- Hands-on experience with core CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab)
- Proficiency with monitoring tools (DataDog, Splunk, NewRelic, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch)
- Commercial experience in at least one core technology (Dotnet, Java, AI/Data Engineering, Golang)
- Proficiency in Azure and Kubernetes, with hands-on experience managing and deploying applications
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for efficient and scalable infrastructure management
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Application Developer
- Certified Azure DevOps Engineer
- Familiarity with continuous delivery tools
- Strong programming skills in.Net, Java, or JavaScript
