Senior Engineer – Athlete Performance

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential sports technology client seeking a Senior Engineer to join their athlete performance team in London. You will work on cutting-edge solutions that directly impact how athletes train, compete, and achieve peak performance.

In this role, you will:

• Build real-time data systems. Develop hardware-agnostic ingestion layers and time-series architectures that fuse live video with biomechanical data streams, solving complex real-time data synchronization and ML inference challenges.
• Collaborate cross-functionally. Work alongside engineering, quality assurance, product, design, and scrum teams to deliver full-stack web features that give coaches and medical teams instant, objective insight into injury prevention and performance optimization.
• Drive product development. Take ownership of features across the entire product area, listening to customer needs and delivering solutions that push the boundaries of what athletes and coaches can achieve.
• Iterate rapidly. Deploy changes frequently in a fast-paced environment where you'll propose solutions to ambiguous technical problems and provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Mentor team members. Share your expertise on development best practices and trade-offs, setting an example in planning, designing, and delivering complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant tech stack experience. Familiarity with C#/Node, React, TypeScript, MongoDB/SQL/ElasticSearch, and AWS is highly desirable.

Location: London, UK. This role requires regular in-office collaboration (more days in-office than remote), though remote candidates elsewhere in the UK may be considered. You'll have flexibility to coordinate your specific schedule with your team.
