(Senior) Controller (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data analytics organization in their search for a Controller to join their finance team. In this role, you will:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for individual business units, ensuring strategic alignment across the organization
• Oversee month-end closing activities and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting in partnership with the accounting function
• Analyze financial results, extract actionable insights, and communicate key findings clearly to senior stakeholders
• Serve as a trusted business partner to functional leaders, supporting decision-making through proactive financial analysis and recommendations
• Drive continuous improvement of controlling processes, tools, and reporting structures to enhance transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making

What We're Looking For

• 2–6 years of relevant experience in Controlling, FP&A, or similar finance roles, ideally within fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear, actionable insights
• Proven self-starter who takes ownership of projects and drives them to completion independently
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving open-ended problems without predefined structures
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to partner effectively with non-finance teams
• Solid proficiency in financial modeling and Excel; experience with large data sets, BI tools, SQL, or ERP systems is a plus

Location: Hamburg or Berlin, hybrid work arrangement
