About This Opportunity

We are representing a prestigious hospitality client seeking an experienced Waiter/Waitress for their countryside location near Chipping Norton. This role offers the chance to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a refined, members-focused environment where personalised service and attention to detail are paramount.

Working closely with floor and kitchen teams, you'll ensure seamless service from greeting through to payment, creating memorable moments for discerning guests in a high-end setting.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests, introduce menus, and ensure immediate engagement upon seating
• Take accurate food and drink orders, accommodating allergies and dietary requirements
• Deliver seamless service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff for timely, correct order delivery
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and drink pairings
• Maintain exceptional table service—proactively top up water, wine, and beverages throughout service
• Ensure pristine environment through proper table setup, resetting, and maintaining cleanliness
• Handle guest requests and special accommodations with flexibility and professionalism
• Support seamless payment processes through various methods
• Uphold discretion and professionalism, particularly when serving VIP guests
• Contribute to team success through attending briefings, tastings, and supporting colleagues

What We're Looking For

• 2–3 years' experience in a similar high-end dining environment
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume settings while maintaining composure
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Hospitable, approachable personality with genuine passion for customer service
• Respectful demeanor toward colleagues and guests at all times
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
