About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential marketplace platform in their search for a VP Product based in Moorgate, London. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with full ownership of product strategy, vision, and a high-performing product management function. You'll operate at the intersection of consumer experience, supplier tooling, marketplace economics, and AI-driven innovation.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the long-term product roadmap for a well-established two-sided marketplace serving the UK home services sector. The foundations are strong, the growth trajectory is ambitious, and the scope for impact is significant.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap, translating business growth objectives into a clear, prioritised product strategy
• Lead, coach, and develop all Product Managers across the organisation, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, and execution pace
• Drive rigorous product prioritisation and planning processes, balancing near-term commercial outcomes with long-term platform investment
• Champion the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities across the product suite—including search, matching, personalisation, and automation—with a focus on genuine value creation
• Partner with Marketing, Engineering, Design, Data, and Commercial teams to ensure product decisions are grounded in user needs and business impact
• Represent the product function in board and investor discussions, communicating roadmap progress, trade-offs, and strategic direction with clarity

What We're Looking For

• Extensive senior product leadership experience with a track record of owning end-to-end product direction and building high-performing PM teams
• Proven background in two-sided marketplace or platform businesses, with a deep understanding of supply/demand dynamics, network effects, and marketplace growth levers
• Demonstrable experience building and shipping AI-powered product features from concept through production, with a pragmatic view on where the technology delivers real value
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect product decisions to revenue, retention, and growth metrics
• Exceptional communication skills that translate equally well in cross-functional settings and board-level conversations
• Curiosity, pace, and a bias toward execution over perfection
