About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential semiconductor technology company based in Aachen, Germany, seeking a motivated Technician to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have recently completed or are about to complete vocational training (Ausbildung), an apprenticeship, technical diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
Our client operates in an advanced manufacturing environment where you will work with automated equipment and support critical production systems. No previous semiconductor experience is required—full training will be provided to help you develop your technical skills and grow in this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment and material handling systems
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and basic control-system issues
- Monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and help restore equipment operation to minimize production downtime
- Support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrade of equipment together with engineering teams and external vendors
- Follow technical procedures, safety requirements, and cleanroom standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and spare-parts information
What We're Looking For
- Completed or soon-to-be-completed vocational training (Ausbildung), apprenticeship, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, or automated systems
- Strong technical interest and willingness to learn new equipment and technologies
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work carefully and safely
- Ability to work in confined spaces and, when required, at heights of up to 4 meters
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good German and English communication skills
