About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential food manufacturing organization seeking a Senior National Account Manager to lead commercial growth across Industry & Manufacturing sectors in the UK and Ireland. This hybrid role, based in London, focuses on driving strategic partnerships with food manufacturers in bakery, desserts, soups, sauces, and beverages.
In your first year, you will own the commercial development of a high-margin business channel, combining commercial excellence with culinary innovation to help manufacturing partners create exceptional products. You will identify new opportunities, negotiate long-term agreements, and work cross-functionally to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Execute growth strategy across Industry & Manufacturing sectors, identifying and securing new commercial opportunities with food manufacturers
- Build trusted partnerships with procurement, commercial, technical, and culinary stakeholders at leading organizations
- Collaborate with Culinary, Marketing, Technical, and R&D teams to develop innovative recipes and product applications
- Drive commercial excellence through negotiations, joint business planning, pricing discussions, and strategic agreements
- Manage and coach a Junior Key Account Manager, fostering accountability and high performance
- Own commercial growth targets for a key business area generating over 45% gross margin
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to ensure aligned commercial execution
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing strategic B2B accounts within Foodservice, FMCG, or Industry & Manufacturing environments
- Strong track record of growing long-term commercial opportunities and achieving revenue targets
- Deep understanding of manufacturing customer complexity and ability to build trusted partnerships
- Demonstrated commercial acumen through leading negotiations, pricing strategies, and joint business planning
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with ability to work effectively across diverse cross-functional teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and curiosity to identify new opportunities and challenge conventional approaches
- Genuine interest in food culture, consumer behavior, and future food trends in taste, nutrition, and functionality
- Line management experience and ability to coach junior team members
- Data-driven approach with strong commercial insight
