We are representing a confidential blockchain infrastructure organization at the forefront of decentralized data and AI. Our client operates a layer-1 network that has grown rapidly since its mainnet launch, now supporting over a million contributors across a thriving ecosystem. As the network scales and token operations expand, our talent team is seeking a Head of Finance to bring financial rigor, treasury management, and strategic discipline to this high-growth environment.

This is a remote role ideal for a technically sophisticated finance leader who combines the analytical rigor of traditional finance with knowledge of crypto market mechanics or a strong willingness to learn. You'll manage capital strategy across fiat, token, and treasury holdings, advising leadership on liquidity, market structure, and macroeconomic trends while maintaining relationships with market makers, investors, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Treasury Management: Determine optimal allocation between native tokens, stablecoins, and fiat reserves; design and execute treasury allocation, hedging, and yield strategies; develop financial mechanisms that enhance network stability and sustainability
• Token & Asset Management: Manage liquidity across all exchanges in coordination with market makers and funds; oversee relationships with trading desks to ensure adequate liquidity and orderly markets; manage digital asset holdings across foundation and affiliated entities
• Financial Advisory & Tokenomics Strategy: Assess macroeconomic and market conditions to inform capital strategy; advise on tokenomics design including supply schedules and on-chain liquidity; evaluate major financial transactions and partnerships; build financial models to guide strategy under varying market conditions
• Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee accounting, budgeting, and cashflow management; maintain audit readiness and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements; implement internal controls and consistent reporting cadence; deliver accurate, timely insights to support leadership decision-making
• Investor & Partner Relations: Partner with founders on fundraising and capital strategy; build and manage relationships with market makers, trading desks, funds, and exchanges; track relationships with major token holders; negotiate liquidity, treasury, and investment deals

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Background in finance, investment banking, venture capital, or corporate finance with direct exposure to crypto, DeFi, or Web3 markets
• Demonstrated experience managing treasury strategy, liquidity, and investor relations in high-growth environments
• Strong grasp of financial instruments, trading structures, and market mechanics relevant to digital assets
• Deep integrity and discretion; understands incentive misalignment risks in crypto and acts with transparency and accountability
• High emotional intelligence and relationship fluency; capable of managing investors, market makers, and partners with credibility and composure
• Systems thinker who brings structure and discipline to complex, fast-moving financial ecosystems
• Mission-aligned mindset focused on building sustainable value rather than short-term extraction

Beneficial:

• Deep understanding of DeFi, token liquidity management, and market-making structures
• Familiarity with major trading firms, funds, and counterparties across the crypto ecosystem
• Ability to engage intelligently in token strategy discussions
