We are representing a confidential digital agency seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Manager with deep expertise in SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). Our client is looking for someone who understands the evolving landscape of search engines and AI response systems, and can develop holistic strategies that maximize organic visibility across traditional search platforms and emerging AI-driven channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously optimize comprehensive SEO and GEO strategies to increase organic visibility for multiple clients
• Create forward-looking GEO strategies through structured content approaches, entity optimization, and authority building
• Utilize industry-standard tools including Sistrix, Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to derive data-driven recommendations
• Continuously refine on-page, off-page and content optimizations for both traditional search engines and AI systems
• Monitor and optimize PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals, structured data and technical SEO elements
• Collaborate closely with development, UX and editorial teams to implement SEO best practices
• Work in an agile project environment using tools such as Miro, Jira and Confluence
• Optionally support Google Ads campaign setup and optimization

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a senior-level digital marketing professional specializing in SEO and GEO
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, content strategies and information architecture
• Clear grasp of how AI-driven response systems (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini) are changing the search landscape
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Sistrix, Semrush, Google Search Console and analytics platforms
• Strong technical knowledge of PageSpeed optimization, Core Web Vitals and structured data implementation
• Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with collaboration tools
• Very good German language skills (C1 level) as projects are predominantly conducted in German
• Good command of English is advantageous
• Google Ads experience is a plus
• Passion for digital marketing trends and continuous learning
