Senior Digital Project Manager / Platform (all genders)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential digital agency in Köln that needs an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager to lead platform-focused client engagements. You'll own the full lifecycle of web, e-commerce, app, and online marketing projects—balancing scope, timeline, and budget while working within agile frameworks and applying classic methodologies when the situation calls for it.

This is a hybrid role based in Köln, offering flexibility and the chance to work with a collaborative, innovation-driven team on high-impact digital products.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple concurrent client projects from concept through delivery
• Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, guiding digital initiatives and platform builds
• Act as a problem-solver for both internal teams and client stakeholders, tailoring solutions to unique challenges
• Contribute to business development efforts, including pitches and new client acquisition
• Maintain project documentation and workflows in tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack
• Integrate AI tools thoughtfully into project workflows and client deliverables
• Present ideas and project updates in a compelling, stakeholder-friendly manner

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in digital or IT project management, ideally with a focus on platform projects
• Strong understanding of how digital products—web platforms, e-commerce solutions, mobile apps, and online marketing campaigns—are built and scaled
• Comfortable working in agile agency environments and applying classic project management methodologies as needed
• Experience advising clients as a peer, driving strategy from ideation to execution
• Familiarity with business development, pitching, and winning new client relationships
• Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.)
• Self-motivated, empathetic, and highly organized with excellent presentation skills
• Very strong German language skills (C1 minimum) required; good English is a plus
