Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential sports merchandise retail client for a Casual Retail Assistant position based in Derby. In this role, you will create exceptional customer experiences on the sales floor through warm greetings, thoughtful product recommendations, and professional service delivery.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greeting customers and asking questions to understand their needs and preferences
• Providing personalized product recommendations based on customer conversations and observations
• Processing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
• Maintaining high standards of sales floor organization, cleanliness, and visual presentation
• Managing stockroom duties and general store maintenance
• Collaborating with team members and management to deliver a cohesive shopping environment
• Building comprehensive product knowledge to serve customers with informed recommendations
• Working flexible hours including extended shifts on game days and special events
