Junior Finance

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology client in their search for a Junior Finance professional. This position offers the opportunity to support critical financial operations in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Our client is based in the United States and offers remote flexibility for the right candidate.

As a junior finance controller, you will support the financial management of the organization by assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to develop their skills in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting discrepancies or areas of concern to senior management
• Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by gathering data and preparing reports
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports on key financial metrics, such as profitability, revenue growth, and cash flow
• Assist with the preparation of financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Coordinate with other departments to gather financial information and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns, financial audits, and other regulatory filings
• Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed to support the finance team

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends and insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Experience with financial software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
• Strong foundation in accounting and financial principles, with a willingness to learn and grow
