Demo Engineering Business Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking a Demo Engineering Business Analyst to join their Sales Engineering Operations team in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business analysis and technical validation within the Identity & Access Management sector.

Our client operates with a rapid prototyping approach, moving quickly from early-stage sales requirements to functional demonstrations. You'll translate evolving business needs into developer-ready stories and personally validate complex IAM features to ensure they're ready for high-stakes sales conversations and proof of concepts.

Note: This is a dedicated Business Analyst career path in cybersecurity and IAM, not a software engineering or developer-track position.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to capture early-stage feature concepts and translate them into clear, actionable user stories in Jira
• Drive iterative prototyping cycles using strong storytelling and visual mapping skills to bypass traditional documentation bottlenecks and accelerate delivery
• Proactively utilize company-approved AI tools to maximize delivery speed, streamline documentation workflows, and rapidly generate user flows
• Execute manual testing of complex IAM features including real-world verification events like mobile push notifications and biometric identity checks that cannot be automated
• Coordinate tight feedback loops between developers and sales stakeholders to ensure prototypes are polished and demo-ready
• Maintain awareness of current sales engineering processes, aligning approaches with business outcomes and advocating for improvements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, tech support, or systems analysis roles
• Ability to work independently without constant day-to-day mentoring
• Strong technical storytelling skills to transform loose business inputs into clear, logical data flows and user journeys
• Device-savvy problem-solving approach with curiosity for testing applications across multiple platforms, mobile devices, and browsers
• Practical experience with generative AI tools (programming skills are not required)

Highly Valued:

• Familiarity with Identity & Access Management (IAM) or cybersecurity concepts
• Strong experience crafting lean, context-driven prompts and leveraging AI as a daily productivity multiplier
• Background in sales environments, sales engineering, or customer-facing technology roles
