About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential social media agency in Berlin. We're seeking a Senior Motion & VFX Designer to join their creative production team working on high-profile brand campaigns across lifestyle, consumer goods, and technology sectors.

This role combines traditional motion design excellence with emerging generative workflows. You'll craft video ads and social formats that blend filmed footage with generated elements, creating seamless composites that drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and animate video ads and social media formats in After Effects, from typography animation to complex multi-layered scenes, and integrate them into performance-driven edits in Premiere Pro
• Combine filmed material with generated elements through rotoscoping, tracking, keying, and compositing until transitions are invisible
• Deploy generative tools strategically where they improve quality or efficiency, while understanding their limitations around sequence consistency, typography, and brand representation
• Build custom workflows for AI-assisted production that maintain quality standards
• Share new techniques, tools, and workflows with team members and provide hands-on guidance
• Collaborate closely with performance, creative, and production teams, providing early feedback when briefs need adjustment or alternative approaches

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience as a Motion Designer at senior level with mastery of After Effects including complex animations, keyframing, expressions, and typography animation
• Strong compositing skills as core competency: rotoscopy, tracking, keying, and clean integration of generated or filmed elements into footage
• Confident editing in Premiere Pro with strong sense of timing and dramaturgy for advertising formats
• Demonstrated experience with one to three real projects using generative video or image tools, or AI-assisted compositing workflows (we'll discuss specifics and review the work during interviews)
• Proactive approach to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement without waiting for direction
• Fluent German and strong English communication skills
• Bonus skills (not required): 3D in Blender or Cinema 4D, color grading in DaVinci or Lumetri, basic sound design
