About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology platform in the quick commerce space, and our talent team is seeking a Retail Sales Manager to drive partner acquisition across the Munich region. This is a remote role with significant field presence—you'll spend 3–4 days per week meeting retailers face-to-face within a 50 km radius of Munich.

Our client connects local businesses with customers through an innovative delivery platform. They are aggressively expanding their retail partnerships and need a sales professional who thrives on cold outreach, relationship-building, and closing deals with supermarkets, specialty stores, and non-food retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Source and acquire top-tier retail partners—supermarkets, florists, pharmacies, and other local merchants—to join the platform
  • Manage your own sales pipeline from prospecting through contract signature, ensuring optimal terms for both parties
  • Conduct walk-in visits and cold outreach across Munich and surrounding areas, building trust with shop owners and decision-makers
  • Present the platform's value proposition clearly and persuasively, adapting your pitch to audiences ranging from small business owners to C-level executives
  • Coordinate with onboarding teams to ensure seamless partner integration and catalog setup
  • Plan efficient field routes, track activity independently, and maintain accurate forecasting

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in field sales or outside sales roles with cold acquisition responsibilities
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a high-volume sales environment
  • Comfortable with door-to-door outreach and face-to-face negotiation
  • Exceptional communication skills in German (fluent) and English (good working proficiency)
  • Self-starter mentality: you plan your week independently, stay organized, and thrive with minimal supervision
  • Resilient and solutions-focused—rejection doesn't discourage you, it motivates you
  • University degree or equivalent vocational training
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Munich area
