About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential alternative investment firm seeking an Enterprise Software Engineer for their London office. Our client operates globally across derivatives-based strategies and requires a talented engineer to build technology solutions for core business functions including treasury, accounting, middle office, and compliance teams.
This role offers exceptional exposure to the investment industry while working on cutting-edge software solutions that directly impact decision-making across various investment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software solutions supporting core business teams with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
- Own end-to-end development processes by collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, creating execution strategies, and delivering thoroughly tested solutions
- Create enterprise-grade software that empowers decision-making across investment operations
- Work alongside highly skilled engineers to tackle complex technical challenges
- Partner with treasury, accounting, and middle office professionals to deliver innovative solutions
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of professional experience in the financial industry (buy-side preferred)
- Production-level experience building software in Python
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or C#
- Working knowledge of at least one financial asset class
- Strong SQL database experience
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative mindset with strong verbal communication skills
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with AI-assisted coding in production environments
- Product knowledge in Equity or Fixed Income asset classes
- Prior industry experience in similar roles
