Software Engineer, Treasury

Responsibilities

We are representing a global alternative investment firm seeking a Software Engineer to join their Enterprise Engineering team in London. In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain software solutions that support treasury, accounting, and middle office operations
• Create production-grade applications that empower decision-making across investment strategies
• Own the end-to-end development process by collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop execution strategies, and deliver thoroughly tested solutions
• Focus on performance, scalability, and reliability in all technical implementations
• Work alongside highly skilled engineers to solve complex technical challenges in the financial markets space

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (minimum requirement)
• 4+ years of working experience in the financial industry, with buy-side experience preferred
• Production-level software development experience in Python
• Proficiency with an object-oriented language such as Java or C#
• Hands-on experience working with at least one financial asset class
• Strong SQL database experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Collaborative mindset with strong verbal communication skills

Bonus qualifications that strengthen your application:

• Experience with AI-assisted coding in production environments
• Product knowledge in Equity or Fixed Income asset classes
