About This Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing climate technology company in Munich that works with major industrial organizations across Europe. Our client provides environmental intelligence software used by leading manufacturers to measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions at scale.
As a Senior Consultant in their Sustainability Advisory practice, you'll deliver high-impact client engagements that translate climate targets into actionable business decisions. You'll own projects from scoping through delivery, build the advisory pipeline, and shape how the practice evolves as it scales.
This role offers genuine ownership from day one. If you're looking for your next significant career step in the sustainability consulting space, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Lead billable advisory engagements end-to-end: scoping, hypothesis-driven analysis, quantification, client deliverables, and executive-level presentations
- Drive smaller engagements independently and own key workstreams on larger projects
- Develop and grow the advisory pipeline by converting software and client conversations into scoped opportunities
- Write winning proposals including approach, scope, and pricing in collaboration with Sales
- Productise the advisory offering by transforming recurring client needs into repeatable, priced packages with clear deliverables and timelines
- Serve as sustainability subject matter expert for internal teams on EU regulations (CBAM, CSRD, EUDR, EU ETS), Scope 3 methodology, and decarbonisation strategies
- Support deal narratives, workshops, and customer sessions with technical expertise
- Connect software capabilities with advisory work, feeding client insights back to Product teams
- Maintain operational discipline: time tracking, pipeline hygiene, project margins, and monthly reporting
What We're Looking For
- 3-6 years in a consulting environment with sustainability as your core focus
- Strong knowledge of carbon accounting and decarbonisation (Scope 1/2/3) and EU climate regulations
- Proven ability to explain commercial implications of regulatory requirements to senior stakeholders
- Track record of owning client-facing workstreams: problem structuring, business case quantification, and C-level presentations
- Experience contributing to proposals or pitches, understanding both deal strategy and execution
- Consulting-standard proficiency in PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets with hypothesis-driven storytelling
- Full ownership mindset—you identify problems and solve them proactively
- Humble and direct communication style; comfortable admitting mistakes and moving forward
- Adaptability in fast-changing, ambiguous environments without rigid structures or training programs
- Business-fluent English required; business-level German is a strong advantage given the DACH client base
