Software Development Intern (Q4 2026)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential proptech startup in Düsseldorf for a Software Development Intern position starting Q4 2026. Our client is building an AI-powered operating system that transforms unstructured real estate data—such as property exposés, floor plans, energy certificates, and rental schedules—into structured asset models for investment analysis.

As an intern, you will work closely with the founding team and external developers to build core modules of this internal platform. Your responsibilities include:

• Independently implementing clearly defined modules and features within the platform
• Coordinating with external developers and freelancers working on parallel system components
• Using AI-native development practices, including Claude and Claude Code, as integral tools in your daily workflow
• Serving as a communication bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, or a comparable program
• Practical experience through personal projects, apps, internships, or working student positions
• Ability to quickly understand existing systems and deliver independently
• Strong communication skills to interface between developers, leadership, and end users
• Openness to AI-assisted development workflows
• Output-oriented mindset and reliability, even under time pressure
• Business-fluent German and good English

Nice to have, but not required:

• Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL
• Work with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or structured outputs
• PDF parsing, OCR, or data extraction from unstructured documents
• Data visualization experience, such as with Recharts
• Interest in real estate, financial metrics, or investment processes

Internship details: 3–6 months, flexible by arrangement. Hybrid/remote work available. Can be voluntary or mandatory internship. High commitment expected from both sides.
