Psychiatrist (Virtual – Remote) – 1099 Contractor

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential telehealth organization seeking board-certified psychiatrists to deliver virtual medication management on a 1099 contractor basis. This remote role offers clinicians the flexibility to set their own schedules while providing comprehensive mental health care to diverse patient populations across the United States.

As a contract psychiatrist, you'll conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and provide evidence-based treatment through video appointments. You'll work within a connected care network that supports collaboration with therapists and coaches, allowing you to focus on patient care rather than administrative burdens.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management through 60-minute intake appointments and regular follow-up sessions via secure video platform
• Conduct thorough mental health risk assessments and psychiatric medication evaluations
• Develop patient-centered treatment plans and provide longitudinal medication treatment
• Document treatment recommendations, communicate with patients through secure messaging, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Deliver culturally-responsive, evidence-based care following clinical best practice guidelines including measurement-based care approaches
• Serve patients with varying diagnoses, clinical complexity, and severity levels

What We're Looking For

• Board certified MD or DO in psychiatry
• Unrestricted state medical license in Kentucky (additional state licenses are a plus)
• Strong preference for clinicians with an active DEA license
• Dedicated office space suitable for confidential telehealth sessions
• Experience and commitment to evidence-based medication treatment and patient-centered care
• Ability to treat patients across the full range of psychiatric diagnoses and severity levels
• Full-time resident of the United States
• Comfort providing care to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying abilities
